Migrating from Gravity FormsPRO

The WS Form migration tool allows you to import forms and submissions from Gravity Forms. Once a form is migrated, you can edit it like any other form in WS Form. You can also access past submissions as if they were always part of your form in WS Form.

Your source form will not be changed or deleted when you migrate it to WS Form, so  you can easily go back and reference it if you need to.

Migrating Forms

  1. Click on the Migrate item in the WordPress administration menu under WS Form.
  2. Select Gravity Forms from the list of third-party WordPress form plugins.
  3. Select the form you want to import.
  4. Select Form to instruct WS Form to import your form.
  5. Click the  Start Import button.

Once the migration is complete, you can click Edit Form to view the form in the WS Form layout editor.

If you have submissions you would like to import, you can click on Import Submissions after you have imported a form. We always recommend importing your form first because WS Form will create an automatic map of the Gravity Form fields to your new WS Form form.

For large volumes of submissions, WS Form will show a progress bar. Once the import is complete, a summary shows how many records have been created, updated, or ignored. You can click to view the submissions to ensure the import was successful.

The WS Form migration tool imports all supported fields, including file upload and signature fields. Page and section breaks are also supported during the import.

Some third-party plugins feature dozens of add-ons, and in some cases those features may not be included in the migrated data. If supported, those features can be added to your form afterward using the WS Form layout editor.

And that’s it! It’s simple to move forms and submissions from Gravity Forms to WS Form.
