The Keyword Blocklist add-on includes over 1,300 categorized keywords designed to help block spam submissions. Keywords are grouped into the following categories:
- Adult (On by default)
- Crypto
- Finance
- Gambling
- Legal
- Pharmaceutical
- Profanity (On by default)
- Sales
- SEO
- URL Shorteners
Each category can be independently enabled or disabled to suit your needs.
Note: This add-on uses the wsf_submit_block_keywords filter hook, allowing you to customize or expand the blocklist with additional keywords as needed.
Installation
The WS Form Keyword Blocklist plugin is installed in the same way as installing the WS Form PRO plugin.
Once installed you will need to activate the license for the plugin. When you purchase the Keyword Blocklist plugin, you will be given a license key. If you have lost your license key(s), click here.
To activate your license key:
- Click WS Form in the WordPress administration menu.
- Click Settings.
- Click the Keyword Blocklist tab at the top of the page.
- Enter your license key.
- Click the Activate button.
If your license key fails to activate, please ensure you are using the correct license key and not your WS Form PRO license key.
Keyword Blocklist Settings
The keyword blocklist add-on is enabled by default. The Adult and Profanity lists are also enabled by default. To change the Keyword Blocklist Settings:
- Click WS Form in the WordPress administration menu.
- Click Settings.
- Click the Keyword Blocklist tab at the top of the page.
- Adjust the settings to suit your preferences.
- Click Save Changes.

Enable
When checked, WS Form will check form submissions against the enable lists. If this setting is not check, none of the lists will be used.
Lists
Toggle individual categories such as SEO or Finance to activate or deactivate them independently.
